The Bacchanal at Caesars Palace is the crown jewel of Las Vegas buffets. At $80, you better bring your appetite and your credit card because it will leave you stuffed but your bank account lighter.

Unlike the Wynn, I got reservations for Bacchanal and was seated quickly. Unlike the cramped and whimsical Wynn, Bacchanal is very open, spread out, and modern looking. The buffet is enormous, snaking along the wall of the Bacchanal and changing cuisines as you go.

If you begin on the far right of the buffet, you’ll start with Chinese cuisine including a number of Dim Sum options. Moving left you have sushi and poke. There are vegetarian dishes, Latin cuisine, Italian, charcuterie, carved meats, brunch-style dishes, and lastly the seafood bar. I enjoyed pretty much everything I ate, but the highlights for me were the Chinese/dim sum and poke.

Much like the Wynn, however, the dessert station takes the spotlight at Bacchanal. Miniature desserts like tiramisu and mousses abound but my favorite was the mini Reese’s mousse dessert.

Overall, I loved the Bacchanal. I think it’s a bit overpriced, but I think it’s a must-visit if you’re going to Las Vegas for the first time. From seafood to red meat to vegetarian, there are options for whatever your preferences and I think you and your family and friends will all leave satisfied. After the eating, Caesars Palace has a ton of room to walk around, gamble, and even shop, so avail yourself if you have the opportunity.
