The Wicked Spoon Buffet (WSB) at the Cosmopolitan is one of the highest rated buffets in Las Vegas and also one of the most elusive if only because it’s down a quiet hall on the second floor of the Cosmopolitan away from the slot machines and card tables.
I went for breakfast/brunch and at $40, it was a good deal considering what the WSB offers. It’s got the open feeling of the Bacchanal but the colors are cozier. It may not be as expensive, but the WSB feels more sophisticated.
As with both the Wynn and Bacchanal, I enjoyed nearly every bite. The difference is that I think the WSB had a few dishes that I could have seen myself ordering as full meals at a regular restaurant. For me the fried chicken, bone marrow, and shrimp & grits were the highlights.
Whereas the Wynn and Bacchanal really showcased desserts, the WSB’s dessert offerings were fewer in number and less imaginative. That being said, I was there for an earlier meal so perhaps their dessert offerings are more numerous later in the day.
Overall, I would visit the WSB again. It’s cheaper (though not cheap) and has some great dishes that make another trip worthwhile.
